Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERSs) are designed to help enhance the independence of those that are getting older, have a disability or have a medical condition by providing them with immediate access to emergency assistance. Traditionally, a personal emergency response system includes a push-button activator that connects the person via speaker phone to a live emergency call-centre operator. But with INS LifeGuard’s newest innovation, users no longer need to press a button to request assistance.*

INS LifeGuard is proud to release this new innovation, a medical alert device that makes summoning assistance in an emergency easy, especially in critical situations such as falls, medical problems, or emergencies. With it, users can quickly activate the device to trigger an alarm either by calling out ‘help me’ or by pressing the button.

When combined with the INS LifeGuard emergency response system, it will activate an alarm to a nurse in our emergency response centre. INS LifeGuard’s VR Call Point is a reliable and effective medical alert system that offers two ways to activate an alarm and summon help. It features advanced speech recognition technology that allows it to be activated by a spoken phrase. The device also has a large help button that can be used to trigger an alarm manually.

The sleek, modern design allows it to be installed virtually anywhere in your home. It also features an anti-slip pad on its back, which gives you the option to either wall mount the device or place it on any flat surface.


The VR Call Point has LED indicators that provide visual confirmation of the device’s status. It also transmits regular supervision and low-battery signals to our response centre so we can ensure it’s running optimally at all times.

A Better Way to Call for Help in Emergencies

In critical situations, every second counts, and the LifeGuard VR Call Point can help save lives by giving users an easier and quicker way to call for help.


In emergencies, such as falls or medical problems, users may not be able to physically reach the call point due to pain, injury or incapacitation. With the VR Call Point’s voice activation capabilities, they can summon assistance via spoken commands and keywords.


Once triggered, the VR Call Point medical alert system raises an alarm in INS LifeGuard’s Emergency Response Centre, which is staffed by highly experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals whose qualifications and clinical knowledge are far greater than the ‘first aid attendants’ commonly used in the industry.


The fact that all medical alert alarms are attended to by highly qualified healthcare professionals is unique to INS LifeGuard and we feel it’s an important distinction.
