The INS Group was established in 1984 as the Illawarra Nursing Service. As one of the oldest care providers in Australia, we have had substantial experience in providing health care services in the community, as well as eHealth, TeleHealth and accompanying assistive technologies.
We are a prevention-based service, and as the only nurse-on-call personal and medical alarm monitoring service in Australia, we also monitor equipment from other providers.

Our Emergency Response Centre is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by trained emergency responders who are also highly qualified and experienced healthcare professionals — including Registered and Enrolled Nurses. This unique combination means our team doesn’t just respond to emergencies — we can clinically assess, triage, and provide immediate medical advice. We know of no other company who can make that claim, and we believe it’s an important distinction. Emergency personnel are engaged quickly if required, and our nurses can share both personal and medical information that could help save a life.

Medical events are handled by nurses whose qualifications and clinical knowledge are far greater than the first aid attendants commonly used in the industry.
INS LifeGuard offers a chat line for the lonely or socially isolated and a health information line. We also offer medication prompts for those who need help remembering to take medication on time, and appointments or other reminders as well.
Our nurses are available at any time for information or support and can interact with the client’s GP or other primary care professionals, we also conduct welfare checks, e.g. for those returning home from the hospital or who may be ill, just to make sure everything is alright.
INS LifeGuard services are accessed by seniors, lone workers, carers, providers, NDIS participants, retirement villages, DVA as well as community and aged care organisations.
