INS LifeGuardian® Watch for iPhone
Powered by Apple Watch Series 11
A discreet, nurse-monitored smartwatch designed for iPhone users. Built on the Apple Watch Series 11 and fully integrated with the LifeGuardian® App, it includes advanced health tracking, vital sign monitoring, fall detection, and crash alerts, all supported by our 24/7 Emergency Response Centre, staffed by qualified nurses.

24/7 Personal Alarm & Emergency Response
The INS LifeGuardian® Watch for iPhone is a fully monitored personal alarm system, discreetly built into a supplied Apple Watch.
Whether triggered manually or automatically, help is just seconds away.
How It Works
Step 1 – Trigger an Alarm
You can raise an alarm in one of three ways:
- Press the HELP button on your Apple Watch or via the connected app on your iPhone
- Use a custom Siri voice command (e.g. “Hey Siri, I need help”)
- Automatically triggered by a fall or severe car crash, if detected by the watch
Step 2 – Speak with an INS Nurse
Your alert is immediately sent to our Emergency Response Centre, staffed 24/7 by qualified nurses. A nurse will speak with you via your watch or phone.
They will have access to your health and medical profile, emergency contacts, and live location.
Step 3 – Clinical Support & Help Arranged
Our nurse will assess your condition and decide the most appropriate next step.
We may:
- Call your nominated emergency contact
- Or escalate directly to emergency services if needed
Step 4 – If You Can’t Respond, Help is Sent
If you’re unresponsive, we will dispatch an ambulance to your GPS location immediately.
This ensures that you receive help even if you can’t speak or reach your phone.
More Than a Call Centre
Qualified healthcare professionals back INS LifeGuardian®, not just call centre operators.
- Every call is handled by a registered or enrolled nurse
- Clinical triage is provided — not just scripted responses
- Emergencies are managed with medical oversight
This is a personal alarm built for absolute peace of mind with support that goes beyond the button.
Vital Sign Monitoring (Monitored by INS Nurses)
INS nurses monitor your key vital signs and health data (as received via the INS LifeGuardian® app):
- Pulse (Heart Rate)
- Respiratory Rate
- Blood Oxygen (SpO₂) (continuous readings throughout the day and night)
- ECG and irregular rhythm indicators
- High Heart Rate (after 10 minutes of inactivity)
- Low Heart Rate (after 10 minutes of inactivity)
- Walking Steadiness (gait & balance)
You can also provide additional health readings for nurse monitoring and trend tracking, including:
- Blood Pressure
- Blood Sugar Level
- INR
- Temperature
- Weight
If readings fall outside your personal thresholds, the app may alert you, and our nurses may reach out for a health check or provide clinical guidance.
Important note: Health data is not always received in real time and depends on the INS LifeGuardian® app running in the background with the correct permissions. The data collected is intended for trend detection and long-term monitoring, and is not used for diagnosis.
Fall Detection
If the Apple Watch detects a significant fall, an alert is automatically triggered and sent to INS LifeGuard’s Emergency Response Centre.
- A nurse will contact you immediately
- If you’re unresponsive, emergency services can be dispatched with GPS data
- Helps ensure fast intervention, even if you’re unable to call for help
Fall Prevention Monitoring
Using the Apple Watch’s built-in motion sensors, INS LifeGuardian® can analyse trends in gait, steadiness, and balance.
- Get alerts if your walking patterns show signs of increased fall risk
- Provides a proactive safety layer to help prevent injury
- Can help avoid hospitalisation from preventable falls
Crash Detection
Apple Watch Series 11 can detect severe car crashes and automatically alert our team.
- If you're unresponsive, we’ll attempt to contact you
- If needed, we can escalate to emergency services and provide your exact location
24/7 Health Event Detection & Clinical Support
For urgent health events — such as irregular rhythms, critical heart rate changes, or serious incidents — alarms are triggered automatically.
- A qualified INS nurse will contact you immediately
- The nurse will provide clinical advice, triage the situation, and offer support
- If required, they will escalate to emergency services and coordinate the response
- GPS location is sent with the alarm to aid emergency response
Our team doesn’t just respond — they act with clinical insight.
Nurse-Led Monthly Health Data Review
Included in your subscription, you may choose to have your health data reviewed each month by the INS nursing team.
- Our nurses analyse trends across your monitored data
- If concerns are identified, you’ll be contacted directly
- Reports can be sent to your:
- GP or specialist
- Aged care provider or coordinator
- Or kept for your personal records — only with your consent
An extra layer of clinical support — tailored to your needs, at no additional cost.
GPS & Geofencing

- You can set Geofence zones to create virtual boundaries
- If the wearer exits the zone, an alert is sent to carers or family, ideal for dementia support

What makes INS LifeGuard different?
Most personal alarms connect you to call centres. INS connects you to qualified nurses who:
- Clinically assess your situation in real-time
- Escalate care (e.g. send ambulance)
- Review monthly health data (optional)
- Provide support for chronic illness, medication changes, and more
- Real user outcomes include:
- Falls response and prevention
- Crash detection
- Early detection of cardiac and chronic health issues
Is it only for seniors?
No. The LifeGuardian® Watch is suitable for a wide range of users:
- NDIS participants
- People living with disability
- People with chronic conditions (e.g. POTS, fatigue, cardiac risk)
- Lone workers
- Families supporting loved ones remotely
Can I claim this under NDIS?
Yes. The INS LifeGuardian® Watch can be funded under the NDIS through the Assistive Technology (AT) pathway, or Core Supports in some cases — depending on your plan and goals.
Here’s how it works:
Self-managed and plan-managed participants can:
- Request a quote
- Purchase the device directly
- Claim via their plan (AT or Core Supports, if applicable)
NDIA-managed participants:
- Should speak with their NDIS planner or LAC
- INS LifeGuard can provide quotes and documentation to support approval
Our smart watch personal alarms qualify as low-risk, low-cost AT (under $1,500), meaning they usually don't require a formal OT assessment.
Can I claim this under My Aged Care (Support at Home or HCP)?
Yes. There are multiple funding pathways:
1. AT-HM Scheme (Preferred):
- The hardware (watch) is funded under AT-HM if you are assessed as needing assistive technology
- Monitoring may be funded under your care budget as a clinical or safety-related support if included in your support plan
2. Home Care Package (HCP):
- Unspent funds can be used to purchase the watch and the monitoring
- Speak with your provider about plan inclusion
3. Support at Home Program:
- Replaces CHSP and HCP in November 2025
- You may claim the monitoring subscription if it aligns with your care goals and is included in your support plan
INS can liaise with your provider or coordinator to assist with documentation.
How do I get started?
- If you are a My Aged Care participant (Support at Home or HCP): Speak with your care coordinator about including the watch and/or monitoring in your support plan. They can help you apply through the AT-HM scheme or use your care budget.
- If you are an NDIS participant: Speak with your plan manager or support coordinator. INS can supply quotes and supporting documentation.
- If you are purchasing privately (or for someone you care for): Contact INS LifeGuard directly. We’ll help you find the right package and guide you through setup and support options.
- Call 1800 636 226 or email us for personalised help.
