The INS Group was established in 1984 as the Illawarra Nursing Service. As one of the oldest care providers in Australia, we have had substantial experience in providing health care services in the community, as well as eHealth, TeleHealth and accompanying assistive technologies.

There’s a big difference between INS LifeGuard and other providers. Our Emergency Response Centre is staffed by highly qualified and experienced nurses and other health care professionals, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We know of no other company who can make that claim, and we feel it’s an important distinction. Emergency personnel are engaged quickly if required, and our nurses can share personal details and also medical information that could save a life.

We help people to live more independent, active lives with greater confidence and peace of mind knowing that help is available at the press of a button, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Our products and services are available Australia-wide.

Medical events are handled by nurses whose qualifications and clinical knowledge are far greater than the first aid attendants commonly used in the industry.


INS LifeGuard offers a chat line for the lonely or socially isolated and a health information line. We also offer medication prompts for those who need help remembering to take medication on time, and appointments or other reminders as well. 


Our nurses are available at any time for information or support and can interact with the client’s GP or other primary care professionals, we also conduct welfare checks, e.g. for those returning home from the hospital or who may be ill, just to make sure everything is alright.


INS LifeGuard services are accessed by seniors, lone workers, carers, providers, NDIS participants, retirement villages, DVA as well as community and aged care organisations.

    As an NDIS registered provider, funding to cover the cost of our products and services could be available under NDIS Standard (Level 2) Assistive Technology and could be approved without the need for an assessment or quote.

    INS LifeGuard’s service sets a benchmark in features tailored to aged care, emergency and health care monitoring, but we’re also able to monitor a variety of other providers’ equipment.

I would like to express my gratitude with your company INS LifeGuard. My parents both used your system and when my father suddenly passed away at home my mother pressed her pendant and the nurses at INS called emergency services and kept her calm throughout the whole process. Unfortunately, I had to use my mother’s pendant this year in January when I found my mother had also passed away. INS nurses called emergency services and their promptness allowed the ambos to arrive within minutes. The INS nurses kept in constant contact with me keeping me calm.
