We offer both in-home and mobile systems — so NDIS participants can get help at any time, wherever you may be.

Our response centre is staffed by highly qualified and experienced nurses, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We know of no other company who can make that claim.

How it works

In the event of an emergency, press the button on your transmitter, SmartHome IP Dialler or your mobile alarm. (we can also supply a Fall Sensor that automatically triggers an alarm when a fall is detected.)

An alarm is sent to a nurse on our emergency response centre, who has access to your personal details and medical history. The nurse will call out to you over a two-way speaker on your emergency unit. * You need not be near the unit to be heard.

The nurse will assess the situation and send whatever help is required – whether that be contacting a family member, neighbour, friend, or emergency services.

If the nurse is unable to make voice contact, an ambulance will be dispatched to your location. No matter what the situation, rest assured help is on the way.

* Network coverage and voice quality are dependent on local environmental conditions and are not within the control of INS LifeGuard. Rest assured, even if we cannot speak to you over the alarm system, we have received the alarm and will send help.

Our services are prevention-based; they are comprehensive, fully flexible, and tailored to individuals needs.

Funding to cover the cost of our products and services could be available under NDIS Standard (Level 2) Assistive Technology and could be approved without the need for an assessment or quote.

The SmartHome IPD comes with one standard Transmitter, which can be worn as a pendant, or on the wrist like a watch.

On-The-Go Monitoring

Be free to get out and enjoy life, knowing help is available wherever you are. With a press of a button, you’re in contact with a nurse wherever you are.

The INS LifeGuard mobile alarms are full-featured, stand-alone systems, not tethered to a base unit in your home. They don’t require a telephone line or broadband connection with all models featuring a built-in GPS locator, ensuring you are located in an emergency.

This exclusive feature fits into our vision of coordinated, connected care and supported independent living. The LifeGuard SmartCarer app provides clients’ families and carers with the unique ability to interact with the client’s LifeGuard SmartHome IPD, SmartHome Mate, SmartMobile or SmartWatch alarm systems (with the user’s permission).

LifeGuard SmartCarer App

This exclusive feature fits into our vision of coordinated, connected care and supported independent living. The LifeGuard SmartCarer app provides clients’ families and carers with the unique ability to interact with the client’s LifeGuard SmartHome IPD, SmartHome Mate, SmartMobile or SmartWatch alarm systems (with the user’s permission).

Client Portal

Allows clients, as well as their family members and primary caregivers (with client consent) to update the information held by INS LifeGuard themselves at any time for no extra charge. Additionally task and reminders can be set up and a user can view messages, listen to podcasts, browse news feeds and other interesting information.

INS LifeGuard

This form should be used by the referring provider to request prior approval through the NDIS, where necessary. Simply complete the appropriate form and fax back to us on 1300 770 730.

I used the INS emergency call system and within ten minutes of so, the ambulance was at my doorstep and I was treated on the spot and rushed to emergency. I’d flipped backward hitting my head. I couldn’t move. I remembered my INS LifeGuard pendant and pressed the button. I instantly heard a voice say ‘Hello Josephine, are you OK?’ Though I was outside he could hear me. He stayed online with me until the ambulance arrived. It was the best piece of technology I could have wished for. I know it works, and I feel safe.

I would like to express my gratitude with your company INS Lifeguard. My parents both used your system and when my father suddenly passed away at home my mother pressed her pendant and the nurses at INS called emergency services and kept her calm throughout the whole process. Unfortunately, I had to use my mother’s pendant this year in January when I found my mother had also passed away. INS nurses called emergency services and their promptness allowed the ambos to arrive within minutes. The INS nurses kept in constant contact with me keeping me calm.
